Hello, we are a Spanish couple who have registered our child in the Elckerlyk international school in Leiderdorp. We would like him to be fluent in Dutch despite his daily use of Emglish at school. We had the idea that through extra activities in Leiden he could get to understand and talk it with no problem. However, some parents told us this is not realistic. Could anyone share their experience with us? Is it possible that children who attend an international school become fluent in Dutch? Thanks!
